Castle Campbell is a beautiful medieval Scottish castle in the Dollar Glen.
We have chosen Castle Campbell for our ceremony for two reasons - one being the beauty of the place and the other - childhood experiences of Douglas who went to Dollar Academy. When at school he was in a running club and run up and down that hill many-many times. Can you imange runing up that hill?! When you come here you'll understand that it was worth it!
The location of this austere, wind and rain bitten castle is absolutelly stunning - it overlooks the Glen providing spectacular views all the way through to Edinburgh and Firth of Forth. Looking at its walls that cracked under the spires of various scottish clans, but still remained upright through the centures, we got inspired with the spirit of the old wisdom and stamina that ultematelly interweaves with laconic Scottish beauty. And perhaps a young boy was once wondering round its misterious walls, looking at the glen and thinking about his future...
